Soulmate

Soulmate

As her two year old sister climbed the window grill, ultimately ending up silently dangling upside down due to her foot getting stuck, her nine year old sister knew that she would be dealing with a menace.

Coming home to see the now five year old sister’s head stuck between a little crevice, she just rolled her eyes and helped her out, knowing it was going to be a common occurrence with the inquisitive toddler.

When she pounced and grabbed her seven year old sister’s legs before her sister fell off the bed laughing, she knew she was hilariously doomed.

Finding her twelve year old sister’s poor marks, she grunted as she signed in place of their mother, partners in crime.

As the now twenty-five year old’s sister watched her sister stumble home, intoxicated, she knew the roles were reversed as she covered up for her and gave her mints.

Coming home to see her twenty-six year old sister groaning in pain because of abdominal cramps, she laughed as she tossed her the heating pad and climbed next to her.

When she got a phone call from her sister at five in the morning begging for help to formulate some excuse for her not coming home that night, she slapped herself out of sleep and extensively chalked out a saving strategy.

A soulmate does not necessarily represent a love interest. For all you know, it might come in the form of a nine year older sister, laughing with you in a demented manner over something as non-funny as crayons.
