Moving On

Moving On

You could find a trace of her, in each of his cries, in each of his shrieks and wails. He wanted her to a part of his happiness. But life works in mysterious ways. Seeking love and being isolated, became a part of his life. But there was never a sign of him in her life, not once, not ever, in her dreams, in her whispers, not even her lies.

One morning, just the sun rises, he realised he had to rise above his circumstances too. Tired of being in the dark, he embraced the truth, no matter how bitter, and decided to move on. Getting busy and distancing himself from her memories.

Was it easy? No.
Was it necessary? Yes. Very much so.

For, he could no longer take the suffocation. And once he saw the light, he knew there was no going back. He knew the value of the second chance that life had given him. Yes, he knew, more than all of us. Only the ones who’ve seen the darkness know the value of illumination.

Now, as time elapsed, you find no trace of her in his life, except a few times, in his silence
