Something Lost.

Something Lost.

It was surreal. Walking on the damp, cool, lush green grass. It was as if nature was pleading me to stop, take a breath, live. So I sat down. Tilted my head up, and looked at the grey clouds that were waiting to burst into rain. Straight ahead of me, perhaps a few miles away, rested the shrub and flower covered base of a series of hills, whose peaks hid behind the dense mist that hovered high above, giving company to the now slightly drizzling clouds. The ambiance was just , calm and free. Free from the worries of daily life, the problems, the sins. As the cool breeze gently caressed my cheeks, the heavens started pouring, completely drenching me in minutes. I stood up, spread my arms as wide as I could, and screamed. Screamed for the amazing life I had. But then suddenly, I saw a hole. A big, black horrible hole that just engulfed the hills. I started running. As fast as my legs could take me. Hot tears started dripping down my cheeks, and as I turned behind to see where the hole had reached, I got pulled in. Into this vast, dark abyss of nothingness. * Tring tring*, as I opened my eyes, I heard my alarm ring. I sat up, got dressed, and left for work.
