FLATMATES

FLATMATES

FLATMATES… People you hate, want to murder, who will use your toiletries and borrow your clothes and might forget to give it back, who will eat the pastry you saved and kept in fridge to eat later, who will play loud music and make party scenes when they know you have an exam next day. But you spend the most memorable time of your life with them. Isn’t it strange that this sounds like living with your siblings? It’s more or less like that unless you have a bad luck and your roommate turns out to be a serial killer. It’s my 3rd year in Mumbai and every year i’ve shifted from one house to another and so my flatmates kept changing. After two years of struggle to find people with same mental level i’m finally blessed with sane people. We are 6 people in a house, No! let me clear, 6 GIRLS in a house. The idea itself sounds scary because 6 girls in a house ‘peacefully’? If it had to be a plot of a TV series the idea only would die, but this time I left everything on my luck, not forgetting the horrible time of my 2nd year where my clothes disappeared magically and cleverly and only my favourite ones! Never mind! Even in this house we fight on stupid things, we cry sometimes but when comes the weekend we’ll eat together and watch movies together and trust me it’s the best thing ever and feels like family. To go out and party on Saturdays is not our scene anymore, instead we stay back and watch movies, cook, cry, laugh and sleep. This is what keeps me going in a strange city without family but with a new family after all this is what family is all about .. A little fight, arguments, drama, laugh, cry and LOVE. I hope you find some crazy people too in life 🙂

Spread the love
