*To a demented mortal I don’t know. Or maybe I do.*
Your soul requires a purpose to survive. A reason to open your eyes to the sun in morning. Open them to see something you really care about, something you see and thank God for making it a part of existence to this world. A reason to stay alive.
The digital and electronic world has camouflaged the scenario where bodies used to talk. And not just the parts that can talk like mouth and eyes. It goes for the forehead, the cheeks and legs, skin and bones, veins and nails, hair
and most importantly for ones that feel the touch, the hands.
Your hands reach out in vacuum to find a thick layer of air, the air of nothingness. Something which is not enough to want to wake up to. You feel as lost as a coin in a sea of metal. Metal of vessels that hold something. Food maybe. All metals serving their value as a metal. You be the coin with no sign or symbol at all.
Life becomes tedious because everything you do becomes a question mark. A question mark which was followed after a why. “Why?” Your soul requires a purpose to breathe. The exhale that feeds your passion and makes it grow. The exhale that glorifies your life to a step closer to your destiny.
But you hardly have heard a word from her (yes, destiny must be female for she is complicated) since the day you willingly chose to write.
As you walk down to a path just because you were placed there, you seek for monotony. But you fear that you will fit into same cliché that isn’t for you. A surrounding that you always hated. Something as simple as simple itself. And yet you dream of creating a miracle standing in the middle of an avalanche of people with their voices about their purpose while you still haven’t found yours.
What is the purpose anyways? Is it something idiots think they feel? Or is it some kind of a lifestyle? Or an expectation or a hope? What is it about purpose that is so tempting and humiliating if not found one?
What is it? Please tell me what is it and if I know the definition then darling… Please help me find mine too!
- Will you?
