Lost and Found

Lost and Found

Tick tock. Tick tock.
Goes the grand clock.
Tip top. Tip top.
On the window sill,
Fall the raindrops.
Hustle bustle, the curtains go,
As the monsoon winds blow.
Chirp chirp. Chirp chirp.
The birds sing a song,
On tree branches, perched.

The noise within me,
Skips a beat.
The music outside
Beckons me.
To move away from the
Honk honk, Honk honk
Of the virulent city.
Pick up I, my car keys.
Step out into the icy breeze.
Shooosh, shoooooosh,
Whispers the wind, in my ears.
Look ahead and forget,
The bygone years.

Drive on, drive on,
Oh my maruti…
Until you and I,
Find our destiny.
Meanwhile, let’s enjoy
The scenic beauty.
Here and now,
Let’s breathe and live,
Past feuds, forgive.
Think not of the way,
Or of future, worry.
Sink in the music of life,
Away, away, far away
From noise and strife.

Tick tock. Tick tock.
Tip top. Tip top.
Rhythm the rain, the clock.
Know not I the way,
But my heart beats,
never to stop.
Life is an unknown journey,
Just go on, go on,
Oh my heart, go on,
Just keep going on!
