The debate of “Real world v/s virtual world: which one is better?” goes on. Due to sudden growth of internet usage & social media involvement people are mixing both worlds to such an extent that virtual world is getting over the real world. Studies and survey reveal that young generation is much getting involved with Virtual world since they can be exactly who they want to be – and as soon as something is no longer fun they can simply hit the quit button. People are travelling not for enjoyment but for social media so they can post about what stuff they are doing. People are continuously experimenting with stuff to show off rather than satisfying oneself.
This is affecting our real world – our health physically and mentally, relationships, work, study, behaviour, nature etc. Multitasking is necessary in today’s era which is being achieved by virtual world. Sitting in our homes, we are able to see what is happening in other corner of the world. Things are getting easier. Online shopping, online classrooms, online jobs, networking etc. are helping us a lot .But this advantage is making line between the real world and the virtual one increasingly blurred. Children are glued to screen nowadays. Game addiction, social media addiction is increasing among them. This directly impacts on health issues- obesity, eye issues, etc. are very common among children. Also this causes social withdrawal and affects academic performance. Parents should monitor the activities of children and time they are spending on internet.
For young generation, they should start monitoring themselves. There are many apps these days that show you how much time you have spent on social media-use them. People should indulge in different hobbies including outdoor activities . This will improvise you. So this NEW YEAR try taking up a different hobby, try being social in a traditional way i.e. communicating face to face, spend more time with your close ones, join NGO(trust me it changes you a lot.) and stay healthy , happy and make your Zindagi a Dear Zindagi. There is a life beyond internet too.
