Advancement of science- Boon or Curse?

Advancement of science- Boon or Curse?

“I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots”
-Albert Einstein
In the age of Facebook and Instagram, there is hardly any person who are seen going out spending time with their friends and family. The world is getting smaller with every passing day, thanks to the social media. People do not take effort to visit their close ones since everyone is too busy with their own lives. Instead, video calling does the work.
Children of current generation do not go out to play anymore. They prefer sticking to home with a mobile phone or video games. As a result, they become a lot less interactive. They do not get to meet new people and become self-centred. Also, playing outdoor every afternoon helps to keep their body and mind active and refreshed. Whereas, staying at home with a gadget does exactly the opposite. This is the reason why many people of modern times face psychological problems such as depression and anxiety.
Not to forget, nowadays hardly anybody sends love letters to their loved ones. They choose to purchase expensive cards with electronic music installed within. Real roses are replaced by emojis.
It is feared that many of the posts of present days that humans are holding in offices might be replaced with machines and robots in future. Scientists assume that there would be a lot of advancements in machines which will even be able to replace humans. Rather, robots are believed to work better than humans as they will never get tired. Millions of people are going to lose their jobs. Probably, we are going to witness a world of transformers in future.
