TECHNOLOGY: THE NEW MASTER OF HUMANS

TECHNOLOGY: THE NEW MASTER OF HUMANS

The miraculous advancement in the field of technology has completely revolutionized the modern living. Science and technology has transformed the whole spectrum of activities like education, healthcare, banking, transportation, travelling and what not. With just a click on computers or smartphones, we get the information of whole world and the whole globe seems so small to us. As a result of the technological necessity, human beings are now relying too much on technology- computers, phones, calculators, cars, airplanes, refrigerators, that we cannot live without them anymore, since we’re so used to actually having them.

Obviously, people are always in search of leading a convenient and easy life. Thus they make an effort to improve the technology which allows them to have more leisure time to enjoy their life by turning them into lazy and dependent.

However, because of these situations there are some evidences that human beings are becoming slaves of modern technology.

Slavery is a well defined term. People today are such junkies with their smartphones and you know things are getting bad when you start to feel that the real world is too boring in comparison. Even myself, who prefers being in nature and enjoys doing physical activities, need to spend excessive amount of time working on my desktop.

People around the world are suffering from Vitamin D deficiency due to lack of sunlight, and technology is not making things any better. The same people who deprive themselves of natural light during the day love to bombard their eyes with artificial light at night time when they need to sleep. Doing this will really screw up your sleep cycle. I don’t know how many times people almost bumped into me because they were too busy staring at their phones while walking.

We have laid our key to freedom at the feet of technology and don’t even feel ashamed of because we think “make us your slaves but don’t leave us”.

We are so much addicted to technology that we have turned ourself into unwitted slaves of technology. We are human beings we have tendency to never get satisfied with whatever we have and so is with technological advancement. We never get satisfied with the present technology and want more and more technological advancement, invention & innovation of new gadgets.

I also agree that everything has two sides and so has technology. Technology has brought great gifts with one hand but with its other hand it is stabbing at our back. Can we forget the Hiroshima -Nagasaki bombing incident ? Can we ever forget the fear, the terror, the threat of such large scale devastation and destruction ? The power of technology has made us think of ourselves as God.

New inventions in the field of science and technology are very necessary in such a modern world for a country to be strong and well developed country than other countries but as countries are growing on economical terms, it is also becoming more prone to environmental pollution thus alarming about the forecoming danger.

Technology has left us with some little time to understand the true nature. We have forgotten ourselves, we have forgotten to take a moment of peace and enjoy the beauty of nature, we have forgotten to enjoy the silence. We hardly spend time with our family and loved ones but enjoy spending hours browsing social networking sites.

We have surrounded ourselves with virtual cage of technology by inventing a clock with less time for us.  We have to understand that technology is not all we need.

Thus, it is necessary to understand that we should not to become the slave of technology and let it over power us.

Spread the love
